A very warm welcome to this service, wherever you are worshipping this morning in the Langtree Team Ministry area. Please do take a look at some of the Lent courses on offer around the team area (see the summary box inside) and sign up for one by getting in touch with the leader or host.

Don’t forget the Tea Recital this afternoon at St Mary’s Ipsden at 3.30pm. These are always superb events, and great to bring family or friends along to. There is always a very warm welcome, and the music is invariably first rate. Not forgetting the wonderful cakes !

Next Sunday at Checkendon we are holding our monthly Family Service. Could I ask you to bring along your mobile phone camera, or digital camera, please ? We’ll be making use of them during our worship, but to find out how you’ll just have to come along !

Many thanks indeed to Revd Claire Alcock and everyone at St John’s Whitchurch Hill for welcoming us all to the Team Service for Ash Wednesday. The combined choir from Ipsden and Whitchurch was a wonderful bonus. For your diaries, the next Team Service will be on Maundy Thursday (13th April) at 7.30pm at St Lenoard’s Woodcote, led by our Area Dean, the Revd Linda Smith.

Those of you from Checkendon who remember Jean Tonks (of Whitchurch Hill) might like to know that her ashes will be interred in Checkendon churchyard on Wed 5th April at 11am, and that you are very welcome to come along for this short outdoor service.
