David is married to Alice and has three children.  David grew up in Warwickshire and likes gardening, especially growing his own vegetables. David also enjoys cooking a variety of cuisines, and baking bread and cakes (which always goes down well with his children). He also loves Sci Fi novels and watching rugby.

Before his call to ordained ministry, David graduated with an undergraduate degree in Youth, Community and Practical Theology, and served as a youth and children’s worker in churches within the Coventry and Oxford dioceses, respectively. Following selection for priest training, he studied at St Mellitus in Kensington, London, whilst serving the parish of Cowley in East Oxford. Following completion of his training, he served his curacy in Watlington and the surrounding area.
