Seven Churches in South Oxfordshire

From the Rector: Sunday 19th May 2019

Dear friends,

A very warm welcome to our worship today wherever you are worshipping in the Langtree Team ministry area. May the peace and joy of Christ be with you all.

Checkendon Flower Festival – last chance!

If you have not already had a chance to enjoy the flowers at St Peter and St Paul Checkendon flower festival, do come along to the church this afternoon. The Festival is open until 5pm, and entry is free. Tea, coffee and cakes are also being served.

Tasmanian Visitors

Our Team was visited last Friday by two Anglican clergy from Tasmania, Australia. Revds James Hornby and Joel Kitteridge were keen to explore the ways we operate as a Team, and issues of leadership and governance. Despite our different contexts, many of the issues we face as church leaders have significant overlap. It was very stimulating to welcome guests from a different part of the Anglican communion.

Team Ministry Website

Don’t forget that we have a Team ministry website: www.langtreechurches.org where you can find details of Sunday services, and your parish church has a dedicated page and photo gallery. If you have any photos of your church or events that you’d like to have published on the website, please do email these to the office and we will upload them. Note that they must have been taken by you personally. Our website is our “shop window to the world” and more and more enquiries are coming via this medium, so good pictures to advertise your church are very important. The website can also advertise “events”, whether one off, (like a concert) or recurring (like a study group).

In the quiet few moments before the worship begins, why not offer to God your thanksgiving for the gift of life in all its fullness, through Jesus Christ our Saviour, who walks with us as we travel in faith.

Your Rector                                                    Revd Canon Kevin Davies.
