Seven Churches in South Oxfordshire

From the Rector: Sunday 10th November 2019

Welcome

Dear friends,

A warm welcome to worship on this Remembrance Sunday. It is our annual reminder that our freedoms are hard won, costly, and that they should not be taken for granted. Each of our communities made deep sacrifices to ensure that we could live without tyranny.

Let us pray for all those who continue to serve our country and community; in the armed forces, the police and security services; and the political and civil services.

Pray for our Team

Please also continue to pray for our Team Ministry; for the parishes at Ipsden and North Stoke, and Whitchurch, who are without a local minister at present; for the members of the staff team, and all churchwardens and church councillors. Our life together is a pattern of sharing: people, resources, time, and gifts. We also share in prayer, service, and care for one another. We do this because of our faith; that God’s love for us is revealed in Jesus, and that Jesus lives among us by his Holy Spirit.

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him.

Your Rector

Revd Canon Kevin Davies
