Seven Churches in South Oxfordshire

From the Rector: Tuesday 16th March

Enjoy the springtime

Dear friends,

The inexorable insistence of new life, whether in flower or bud, pushes back against chill winds and heavy showers. The hope of Easter lies ahead, and beyond that, a slow liberation from the constraints that we have all been under. Mothering Sunday marked the anniversary of the lockdown – a sombre reminder of just how far we have travelled, and how bitter the winter has been. What we have been through is quite unprecedented and remains so. Be gentle with yourself, and with one another, in the months that lie ahead. Remember those less fortunate (don’t forget the foodbank has moved to Mary and Steve’s doorstep for the moment) and make a donation to church or your favourite charity, as a thanksgiving for the gift of life in you this day.

The Lent Journey online meetings continue, with Jesus in Galilee, watching his ministry there and exploring faith and our walk with God. We’ll be heading toward Jerusalem soon, as Holy Week and Easter beckon. Join us each day or when you can, at 8.30pm for a ten minute devotional; readings, prayer, music, with input from Revd Kevin and Revd John. Everyone is welcome. The zoom numbers are 842 3891 2144 and 123165. Do make a note of them in your diary.
