Seven Churches in South Oxfordshire

From the Rector: Tuesday 12th December 2023

Carols and Christmas Services edition.

Dear friends,

Have you noticed how Advent always speeds up? The third candle is to be lit. Churches are being decorated, and carol services approach. Musicians and singers rehearse, sermons are crafted. The church heating is fixed and the fire extinguishers receive their annual service, happily unused since the engineer’s last visit. I look forward to seeing many of you at our worship in the coming days. Thank you all for your support and care for your churches this year. Join us as we kindle a different kind of flame – that of hope, that burns in the heart, lightens the dark, and assuages fear.

One final song.

Enough words from me. Music says it better. Here’s a very new arrangement of Away in a Manger by Anna Lapwood. Forget the rush for a few minutes and jump right in.

with every blessing for Christmas and the coming year.

Your Rector, Kevin Davies.
