Team Service
Dear friends,
Don’t let the grey days get to you. Feed the birds! Phone a friend! Enjoy this version of Amazing Grace!
Next Sunday (30th Jan) is a fifth Sunday, which gives us a chance to come together as a Team Ministry. Our shared morning service is at 10.30am at St John’s, Stoke Row. Revd Angela Linton and I will be offering you something a little different. Do join us for an hour with each other, and with God, as we discover the Still Centre. There won’t be any other main morning services around the Team next Sunday.
Worship Services for Sunday 30th January
10.30am Team Service at St John’s Stoke Row, with Revd Angela Linton and Canon Kevin Davies
6.30pm-7pm. Church at Home. A short online evening service with Revd Kevin. Zoom numbers 636 645 195 and passcode 000162. Music, prayers, and a word from Mark’s gospel.
Other service options for elsewhere in the Team can be found on the Langtree Team Ministry Churches website.
You can support Checkendon church and Stoke Row churches via dedicated and secure online card donation pages. Just click on the link. It is very secure. There is a new option to set your donation to be monthly rather than one off. There is also an option to Gift Aid your donation. Please do this if you can as your church can then reclaim the income tax you have paid on your donation. Checkendon Church in particular now needs your urgent help. Thank you!
Plan A, with Coffee
From this Thursday (27th) it is no longer mandatory to wear a mask in an indoor public setting. Accordingly, you no longer need to do so in a service of worship; this applies across the Team ministry. Of course, if you would prefer to remain covered you may do so, and we will respect your implicit request for space. The welcome will be the same. Post service coffee returns (at Checkendon) from February 6th. Hooray!
I’ll say that again, just to be clear: mask wearing in church is no longer required from next Sunday’s services onwards. We can smile at one another again. See? Things aren’t so grey after all.
God bless you all
Revd Kevin
