Dear friends,
A very warm welcome to this service, wherever you are worshipping in the Langtree team ministry area. A special welcome to any guests and visitors who are with us today, including those who will be remembering loved ones at St Mary’s Ipsden or St Leonard’s Woodcote this afternoon. May the peace and hope that Christ gives be with us all.
Next Sunday you are all warmly invited to the Remembrance Services at our churches. We are commemorating the centenary of the end of the First World War. It is important to remember the things that unite us. We sometimes forget that the price of war in Europe was paid by others. It is up to us in our generation to cherish the peace, to build the peace, and to create the circumstances which mean that our children will share the peace tomorrow. The details of these services are found on the rear of this sheet, as well as on our web pages. (www.langtreechurches.org)
“Create in me a clean heart, O God, and put a new and right spirit within me. Do not cast me away from your presence, and do not take your holy spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and sustain in me a willing spirit.” Psalm 51:10-12
with every blessing in our Lord Jesus Christ
Your Rector Revd Canon Kevin Davies
