Seven Churches in South Oxfordshire

From the Rector: Sunday 23rd September 2018

From the Rector

Dear friends,

A very warm welcome to this service. May the joy of Christ be with you.

Bishop Colin to join us next Sunday 30th Sept. Please be there !

The sole notice from me this week is to remind you all that next Sunday (30th Sept) we are welcoming Bishop Colin to our Team Service at St Mary’s Whitchurch, at 10.30am. There will be no other main morning services anywhere around the Team area, so please do make every effort to attend and to welcome Bishop Colin to our churches. If you would like to attend and need a lift, please do contact your churchwardens in the first instance if your usual helper is not available. Parking is available on Whitchurch High Street, and for disabled badge holders (only) outside the church lych gate.

I would be grateful to see as many of you as possible at this service, no matter where you live in the Team area, because it is important that our Bishop has a true picture of the make up of the Team. You can be assured of a warm welcome at Whitchurch !

Team Ministry Website

Don’t forget that our Team Ministry website www.langtreechurches.org contains a wealth of information. Not only service details for each church, but also contact details for the staff, the office, as well as some wonderful photos on the gallery pages.

A Church Near You Website

There is also a very useful website provided by the national church: www.achurchnearyou.com This is a really excellent website to have bookmarked. As well as all the details of our local churches it also enables you to, for example, type in a post code and find the nearest parish church for that address, together with details pertaining to that place of worship. Really useful if you are visiting family away and want to worship on Sunday ! Do try it out – why not enter the postcode for St Mary’s Whitchurch, (RG8 7DF) and see what happens?

Your Rector, and servant for Christ’s sake                                     Revd Kevin Davies
