Dear Friends,

A very warm welcome to this service, wherever you are worshipping in the Langtree Team ministry area this morning. A particular welcome if you are on holiday, or visiting friends and family in this part of the world. May God’s peace and joy be yours through Jesus Christ.

Your prayers are requested for those whose lives are blighted by mental illness, depression, eating disorders and self harming. We pray also for those who have recently lost loved ones, including the families of Denis Wooldridge of Checkendon, and Frank Crook, formerly of Woodcote.

As the school holiday season continues let us give thanks to God for the opportunity for “time out”, whether that involve travel, or simply a holiday at home. Sometimes the simple pleasures of the garden can restore wholeness just as much as the press of a busy airport or visitor attraction.
