Dear friends,

A very happy new year to you all from all of us in the Langtree Team Ministry staff. May the peace and joy of Jesus Christ be with you all, wherever you are worshipping this morning. If all goes well, I should be worshipping today in St Matthew’s Church, Addis Ababa, where the Ethiopian Orthodox Christmas will be being celebrated. Please pray for all 25 of us on Bishop Andrew’s pilgrimage – mostly clergy from the Reading area – as we travel about Ethiopia over the next two weeks, visiting some of the ancient Christian sites, including 12th century rock cut churches and monasteries, and sharing in worship with clergy from the Ethiopian Orthodox and Anglican traditions.

Members of the Team Ministry council are reminded that the annual budget setting meeting is being held on Tuesday 9th January, at Hill Farm House, Hailey, and will be chaired by Heather Llewellyn.

Members of Stoke Row and Checkendon PCCs are reminded that their first meetings of 2018 are on 24th and 30th January respectively.
