Dear Friends,

A very warm welcome to this service, from all of us across the Langtree Team Churches. May God’s peace and joy be with you.

Thank you to those of you who came to the Team Service at St Leonard’s last Sunday, and to the congregation of St Leonard’s for the warmth of your welcome.

Your prayers are requested for Revd Alan and Mrs Margaret Gates as they prepare to relocate back to the UK from Mallorca, to join us in the Team Ministry at Ipsden and North Stoke as Assistant Priest in the benefice. For your diaries, Alan’s licensing service will be held at St Mary’s North Stoke on Thursday 13th October at 7.30pm, and everyone will be very welcome.

The summer is the season for weddings, right across the Team, and this summer is no exception. It is wonderful to share in the celebrations as men and women make a lifelong committment to one another. Despite all the change in the world about us, there is no change in the power of love to make a difference to our lives. Do pray for Dan and Sally, and James and Carla, to be married in the coming weeks at Checkendon Church.

Finally the staff team and I, both lay and ordained, would like to thank you all for your love, care, and support for us, as we try to serve each other and our communities. We really could not do what we do without your help, and your prayers.
