Seven Churches in South Oxfordshire

From the Rector: Sunday 6th August 2017

Dear friends,

A very warm welcome to our worship this morning. Being able to meet together freely to celebrate God’s many gifts to us is something we so easily take for granted. We should not forget that in many countries of the world people are not allowed to do this simple thing.

Please continue to remember in your prayers those planning to be married in one of our churches over the coming weeks and months.

In this holiday season do take a moment to reflect upon the things that are important to you. God knows your very heart and he promises through Jesus Christ to lead us into fullness of life. All too often we are so pressed in the business of the day to day that we miss the things that are crucial to our own well being. The gift of a little time “off” can if used wisely be a space for reflection and a better sense of self understanding in relation to God’s calling on our lives.

Sunday worship is in many ways a “pause for breath” in the midst of the day to day, when, week by week, we can come to learn to attend on the “still small voice” of God, and gain thereby a measure of perspective upon our own place in His plans.
