Dear friends,

A very warm welcome to you all, wherever you are worshipping across the Langtree Team ministry area. May you  know the peace and joy of Jesus in your heart and life today.

Lent begins on Wednesday of this week, and you are warmly invited to our Team Ash Wednesday service, at 7.30pm at St John’s Whitchurch Hill. There will be a communion, and the imposition of ashes as a sign of our repentance, and determination to follow Christ throughout our whole lives.

There are also plenty of Lent study group options for you to choose from around the Team (see the box insert in the middle of this notice sheet). As always, please get in touch with the group leader to indicate that you would like to attend. Don’t forget that you are very welcome to attend a group that is not local to you, should you find the timing more convenient or the subject matter more appealing. Whatever you do, do make the most of this opportunity to grow in your faith and understanding by meeting up with fellow pilgrims for study and mutual learning. It is a precious gift !

Next Sunday at Checkendon Sunday Fun returns to the school at 11am – see www.facebook.com/sundayfunatcheckendonchurch . The Henley deanery synod meets on Tuesday week at St Nicholas’ Church, Rotherfield Greys. Please do ensure that your PCC is represented at this important meeting of our local churches.
