Seven Churches in South Oxfordshire

From the Rector: Sunday 25th June 2017

Dear friends,

A very warm welcome to this service, wherever you are worshipping in the Langtree Team Ministry area. May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him. A special welcome to any guests and visitors who are with us for the first time today. Please do make yourself known to the minister after the service.

PCC members are reminded of the Henley Deanery open meeting being held this Wednesday at St Thomas’ Goring at 7.30pm. Joanna Collicutt will be talking to us about “Dementia Friendly Churches”. A reminder also that PCC members are also invited to meet the Bishop of Oxford on July 20th from 7.45pm at Shiplake College.

In the spirit of Her Majesty’s birthday message to the country, Checkendon Church invites you to share Tea and Cake on Checkendon Green from 5pm on Sunday 2nd July, followed by choral evensong in the church from 6pm. Everyone is very welcome: in these days of anxiety and uncertainty it is important to remember that

there is always time for tea, and there is always room for cake.

As the holiday season begins, do take a moment to thank your clergy and volunteer helpers for all they do. One of the joys of being in a Team is that we are able to help each other out from time to time, and particularly when holidays or illnesses come along.

Rejoice in God’s goodness, and in his great love for the world in Jesus Christ,

Your Rector Revd Canon Kevin Davies
