Seven Churches in South Oxfordshire

From the Rector: Sunday 11th December

Dear friends,

A very warm welcome to this service, wherever you are worshipping around the Langtree Team Ministry area. May the peace of the coming Christ be with you all.

Do take this notice sheet away with you, as you will find full details of all the upcoming Christmas services inside. You can also find them on our website, where they can be downloaded:

There is also the Church of England’s national website  which will give you details not only of local Christmas services but is especially useful if you are going to be visiting family elsewhere over the holiday, and want to find out in advance about the special services close by… that you can tell you family that you are going, and invite them to come along too! Do check it out !

Please pray for all your local schools: pupils, parents, staff and governors, as the autumn term draws to a close, often with carol services and nativity plays. Give thanks for the care and dedication of all the teachers known to you, and for all the volunteers who give freely of their time and committment to ensure that our children and learn and grow in a happy and safe and stimulating environment.

This week past also saw the anniversary of the devastating floods in Cumbria last winter. Please remember churches and communities in and around Carlisle, may of whom are still working with the after effects of the flooding.

Next Sunday sees the start of many of our Christmas carol events; the team ministry staff and I look forward to seeing many of you at these.

Your Rector             Revd Kevin Davies
