Dear friends,

A very warm welcome to this service from all of us across the Langtree Team. May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with us all. A special welcome to guests, visitors and returning friends !

As our local schools continue to finish for their summer holidays, please do pray for staff, governors, and pupils, especially those who are changing jobs, moving schools, or relocating during the coming months. Our churches are regularly asked to nominate individuals for school governorships, and if this is something that you might consider, as a form of Christan service and outreach, please do speak to your local minister in the first instance, or to me.

Next Sunday, being a fifth Sunday (29th July) means that we are having only one main Sunday morning service across the team. This time it is the turn of St Leonard’s Woodcote to host us. Please remember that our team services are always at 10.30am, irrespective of whenever the host church normally holds its Sunday service.

Finally, please could I ask your prayers for any elderly people known to you who are lonely, or who are in need of care of any kind. We sometimes sing “When I needed a neighbour, were you there, were you there?”. Let’s try to make the odd half hour each week when we really can “be there” for someone in need.
