There’s Always Time for Tea

Join us for a very British event – tea and cakes on the village green, followed by choral evensong at Checkendon church. All are welcome.

Songs of Praise, St. John the Baptist’s, Mongewell – this Sunday!

Come and lend your voices to a lovely selection of hymns, both old and new favourites, in the atmospheric church remains of St. John the Baptist, Mongewell. This is a great opportunity for communities from across the Langtree Team to get together and enjoy music and fellowship, and a chance to savour the special atmosphere…

Thy Will Be Done

Come and find serenity in the peaceful surroundings of St. John’s Church, Stoke Row, where you can spend time in prayer and reflection with Rev. Linda Smith and Liz Lowth. They will be leading us through readings, meditations and reflections based on the Lord’s Prayer. All are welcome.

Barn Dance at Ipsden Long Barn

Join us at the Long Barn, Ipsden, to enjoy a night of dancing to live music (with a live caller!), fellowship and a hot supper. All proceeds go to Ipsden church. Tickets £15 from Jenny (contact : 07984 430746).

Fellowship and Study Home Group

Jerry and Caroline Older are hosting a fortnightly fellowship and study group at their home in Woodcote. Every time the focus will be on a different Old Testament character, so that those unable to attend every session will not miss out. All are welcome.

Ipsden Tea Recitals : Guitar Recital

Internationally renowned guitarist, Raymond Burley always has a great rapport with his audiences. He will be presenting a varied programme with something to please everyone. As always, the recital will be followed by tea and delcious cakes. Free entry but a retiring collection to cover expenses. Children over the age of 8 welcome.

Lent Course at Checkendon 2017

Four weeks together studying Archbishop Justin Welby’s Lent Book “Dethroning Mammon – making money serve grace.” Please contact Revd Kevin Davies if you would like to attend.  

Christian Spirituality Exploration Group

  We are currently (March 2017) having a break but will be meeting again from September 2017 to start of Lent 2018 to explore the theme of the Book of Revelation.
